Russia allocates $1 million to the World Health Organization in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic

The Russian Federation will transfer to the World Health Organization (WHO) a voluntary contribution of $1 million to finance the fight against coronavirus, according to the government decree published on the official portal of legal information on April 6.

The amount of $1 million will be allocated from the country’s budget “to pay a one-time voluntary earmarked contribution to the World Health Organization” in 2020.

The allocated funds will be used to finance activities to combat the pandemic, as noted in the published report.
