Rouhani: US has missed its chance to apologize to Iran

01.04.2020, Tehran.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated that Washington has missed its chance to lift anti-Iranian sanctions during the coronavirus epidemic without losing its face on April 1 at a Government meeting.

“It was a good moment for Americans to apologize for their mistakes, it was about people, no one would say that you have capitulated. This was a historic opportunity for the Americans to turn back from the wrong path,” Rouhani said.

The President of Iran noted that now doctors have recorded a decline in infection incidence in almost all provinces of the country.

Since February 19, when Iran recorded the first cases of coronavirus infection, more than 44.6 thousand infected people have been identified in the country. Of these, 2,898 people have died and 14,600 have recovered.
