Head of Jewish community enraged at naming street in Ukraine in honor of SS veteran

Eduard Dolinsky, Director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, called the renaming of a Ivano-Frankovsk street in honor of SS veteran Mikhayl Mulyka on January 29 on his Facebook page.

“Mass insanity in Ivano-Frankovsk has reached its apogee: the mayor of the city said that a street would be named after the SS veteran Mikhayl Mulyk,” Dolinsky wrote.

He also posted photos of soldiers in Nazi uniforms who had taken part in Mulyka’s recent funeral on his page.

1st Galician SS Division veteran Mikhayl Mulyka, who was made an honorary citizen of the city, was buried on January 28 on the city walk of fame in Ivano-Frankovsk.
