Ukrainian delegation has left the session hall of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), said Leonid Kalashnikov, a member of the Russian delegation, RIA Novosti reports on June 25.
According to Leonid Kalashnikov, the Ukrainian delegation called on all those who support its country to leave the meeting. However, only the Ukrainians left the session hall.
Earlier, the PACE adopted a resolution to invite Russia to the June session. 118 deputies out of 190 who were present at the meeting voted in favor of the resolution.
In 2014 after the events in Ukraine and Crimea’s reunification with Russia, the Russian delegation at PACE was deprived of the right to vote. In response, the Russian delegation declared its inability to work and refused to pay dues to PACE.
