Seven people killed in Yemen by Saudi airstrike

Seven civilians in Yemen were killed in an airstrike by the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia, according to the Yemeni site almasirah.net , the SANA news agency reports on April 27.

The airstrike took place in in the El-Dali province southern Yemen. The Saudi air force hit two vehicles. Victims among women and children have been reported.

More than four years ago, in March 2015, a number of Arab countries led by a Saudi Arabia invaded Yemen in order to suppress the Houthi movement, which had overthrown Yemeni President Mansur Hadi in 2014, who later fled to Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, in February 2019, US congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard appealed to cease US military aid to the Saudi-led coalition. She accused the Gulf monarchy of initiating a “genocide war” against the Yemeni people.

Gabbard also blamed Saudi Arabia for “bringing millions to starvation” and for provoking the worlds’s worst humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
