Kurginyan: The USA and Britain do not see continental Europe as an ally

17.12.2018, Moscow.

French President Emmanuel Macron’s troubles with the Yellow Vests movement are natural with regard to his call for the creation of a European army, because US and British interest groups consider Europe as “a great evil’’ the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on the air of “The Right to Know’’ TV program on the TVC channel on December, 15.

“Trump was giving a hint directly to Macron that his troubles are connected to what he stated about a European army. That was said in clear,’’ said Kurginyan. The political scientist then explained the reasons for such attitude as he sees it.

According to him, the Republicans approach dialogue with Europe rigidly. And religious protestant groups express extreme views; they believe that “the global evil will come from there; it will be the president of Europe.’’ “He will very bad. I won’t even bother describing to what extent’’, Sergey Kurginyan ironically summarized the impression of numerous assessments of the hypothetical president of Europe by the dialogue’s irreconcilable enemies.

“That is why I would not say that all American and especially British groups see continental Europe is a natural ally. That is not the case,’’ he resumed.

On November, 6 Macron called for the creation of a “true European army’’ to defend against “Russia, China and even the United States’’. On November 17, the street protests began in France.

The US president posted a tweet on his page on December 10, saying the real reason for the Yellow Vests’ emergence lies in the Paris climate accord, which leads to the rise of fuel prices and also in Macron’s “the silly idea’’ to create a united European army.
