Victim in Paris demonstration tells about police actions

03.05.2018, Paris.

One of the victims of French police actions stressed the peaceful nature of the May Day demonstration, a correspondent of the Rossa Primavera Information Agency reported on May 2.

On the condition of anonymity, the girl told that she was peacefully walking along the city when police started throwing smoke canisters. Then she saw running policemen. She turned trying to let them pass by, but one of the policemen deliberately pushed her with his elbow using a special move, and he knocked her down. The victim found these police actions unjustifiably aggressive, shocking, and unexplainable from a safety standpoint. She believes that the march was quite peaceful. People were simply walking in good mood, some were singing songs. According to the injured girl, such police actions only encourage people to join those who oppose it. And this poses questions. This is especially important because people who make riots look like neo-Nazis, whom she would not like to support.

Previously, the correspondent of the Rossa Primavera Information Agency watched the formation of the column. The format of the march was absolutely peaceful. Parisians came in good mood, music was playing, and tents with frying sausages were everywhere. The emotions that people were showing and the communication between them suggested no aggressive intentions. According to a local resident, people wearing masks are provocateurs who often discredit left-wing organizations.
