02.05.2018, Homs.

Syrian authorities reached an agreement with armed opposition on the withdrawal of militant groups from the northern outskirts of the city of Homs, SANA Syrian news agency reports on May 1.

The militants are ordered to hand over heavy and medium-sized weapons, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), armored and transportation vehicles, as well as minefield and underground tunnel maps, along with ammunition depots’ locations to the Syrian Government Army within 48 hours.

The militants are still controlling the cities of Ar Rastan, Talbiseh and Houla located 10-12 kilometers from Homs. Under the agreement, the opposition militant groups are obliged to unblock the section of the Homs-Hama highway and leave the southern outskirts of the city of Hama no later than in three days.

Until recently, areas north of the city of Homs were controlled by the militants of the so called Free Syrian Army.
