Armenian Police: Involving children into seizing buildings is the main danger

19.04.2018, Yerevan.

The attempts to seize administrative buildings with children present among the protesters are the largest danger, the police of Armenia said on April 19, NEWS.am reports.

The intentions of the protesters to “act in unexpected directions” are of particular danger as the minors are present at the rallies, who could be involved into illegal actions, Armenian police stressed.

“Failure to give up on the attempts to trespass restricted access facilities and other actions have inevitably led to certain legal measures. Illegal behavior of this kind represents the highest danger especially when minors are present at the rally,” the police informs.

On April 17, on the day of Armenian ex-president Serzh Sargsyan election as Prime-Minister of the country, Yerevan witnessed street protests.

On April 19, the opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan proclaimed the beginning of the “velvet revolution” in Armenia.
