YouTube refuses to remove neo-Nazi calls for genocide against Jews

01.03.2018, Florida.

On February 26, a YouTube spokesperson said that they refused to block videos by the Atomwaffen Division American neo-Nazi group, The Daily Beast reports.

The group’s videos where its members urge to “gas the kikes” and to start a “race war now” will remain available at the site despite numerous complaints from users.

“We announced last June that we would be taking a tougher stance on videos that are borderline against our policies on hate speech and violent extremism,” he said. He added that such videos are suggested to be put behind a warning interstitial, and certain features to be removed, such as recommended videos and likes.

“We believe this approach strikes a good balance between allowing free expression and limiting affected videos’ ability to be widely promoted on YouTube,” he added.

Thus, to view neo-Nazi videos now, one just needs to agree with the option “I understand and wish to proceed.”

The US neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division was established in 2013 in Florida. It has members in other states as well. It supporters call for the burning of the US flag and for violence against ethnic minorities.
