US-led coalition airstrike hits civilians in Syria

28.02.2018, Deir ez-Zor.

More than two dozen civilians were killed in Syria by the airstrikes of the US-led coalition, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reports on February 28.

On February 25, US-led coalition warplanes struck east of Deir ez-Zor, near the village of Zahrat al-Aliyu. As a result, 24 people were killed and many were injured. Many of the injured victims are in critical condition.

The troops of the United States and its allies are on the territory of Syria without an authorizing resolution of the UN Security Council and without invitation from the Syrian government, in defiance of the international law. The Syrian authorities repeatedly demanded that US forces leave the country. However, all these demands have been ignored. The US coalition’s forces struck on both Syrian troops and civilian targets many times, which led to great human casualties among the Syrians.

At the same time, American officials and the media accuse Russia and the legitimate Syrian government of creating a humanitarian disaster in Syria.
