Presidents of the United States are profoundly indifferent to the interests of its people, a former head of the Israeli secret service Nativ Yakov Kedmi said in response to a comment of a US expert during the TV-show Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on the Russia-1 TV-channel on January 22.
“All US presidents of recent terms acted in the name of US voters and exactly the opposite [to their interests],” Kedmi said in response to a comment made by a US expert who claimed that US leaders are being guided only by the interests of their people.
“All of the US’ hypocrisy and demagoguery are just as bad as the worst ones of the Soviets, and therefore, when they say that everything is for the people and in the name of the people… in the name of which people and what’s their income?” the Israeli expert remarked sarcastically.
The show covered the latest events in Syria, where two developments are taking place at the same time: the attack of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) on the militants surrounded near the Syrian province of Idlib, and the conflict between Turkey and the Syrian Kurds. Kedmi noted that the US does not understand the nuances of the problems in the Middle East and it completely disregards the interests of its general public.
