Russian military deliver shipment of medicine to the town of Deir Ez-zor

Russian military from the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria (CROSS) delivered the shipment of medicine to the recently liberated town of Deir Ez-Zor, medical service major Vladimir Korzovatykh informs, RIA Novosti reports on the 28th of September.

The CROSS officer informs, “Today we’ve managed to deliver the first shipment of medicine. These medicaments are the most important now. They are antibiotics, antipyretics, medicine for cardiovascular system’s treatment and medicine for the youngest inhabitants of the town respectively”.

Vladimir Korzovatykh adds that the military will deliver another shipment of medicine the next week. Russian doctors will arrive along with the humanitarian aid convoy in the town of Deir Ez-Zor as well.

There is one functional hospital in the town of Deir Ez-Zor. It was the biggest medical institution in the province of the same name before the war. The hospital is overcrowded now, only three doctors work there.

The first humanitarian convoy that delivered medicine, food, mobile generators, and other daily necessities to the town of Deir Ez-zor was sent by CROSS immediately after the town’s liberation – on the 9th of September.
