DPR: Intensity of shelling decreased after establishment of ceasefire

After establishment of the ceasefire since midnight of June 1, the shelling intensity of the Donetsk People’s Republic territory significantly decreased, but the Ukrainian side continues to provoke trench combat on all parts of the front, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on June 1st.

On the northern direction, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka, the villages of Golmovksy and Zaytsevo with mortars, the weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, and small arms.

On the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian army shelled the area of the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint and the village of Trudovskiye. The situation is tense in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone. In the west of Donetsk, the Ukrainian reconnaissance drones were active.

On May 31st, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 65 times. The enemy utilized artillery, tanks, mortars, the weapons of infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers, and small arms. One civilian was injured in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk as a result of the shelling.
