The Ukrainian army is shelling the front-line territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic (the DPR). The enemy is provoking combat on the Donetsk direction.
The village of Zaytsevo and northern outskirts of Gorlovka in the north of the Republic again came under fire.
On the Donetsk direction, trench combat is underway near the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint. Yasinovataya and Spartak were heavily shelled with artillery and tanks. The Ukrainian artillery is shelling the northern outskirts of the Kievsky district in Donetsk. During the day, the Butovskaya coal mine near Makeevka came under fire.
On the Mariupol direction, the Ukrainian army opened fire on the checkpoint in the village of Oktyabr. The villages of Kulikovo and Kominternovo came under the shelling.
During the night of May 18, 11 houses in Donetsk, Yasinovataya, Zaytsevo, and Kominternovo were damaged as a result of the Ukrainian army’s shelling.
On May 18, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 36 times. The enemy opened fire with artillery, tanks, mortars of various calibers, the weapons of infantry fighting vehicle, grenade launchers, and snall arms.
According to DPR PM, during the last week, the Ukrainian side violated the ceasefire 324 times. The enemy fired 2,146 shells and mortar rounds on the territory of the Republic.
