British expert: Conservative Manifesto is a barbarity

Strong criticism has been hailed on the Manifesto’s social provisions, which would cut social guarantees. For example, the National Health Service would become private, spending from the budget on disabled and mental health patients would be reduced, and welfare payments could be put off until one’s death.

Neither did the expert welcome the Conservative Party’s plans to provide unconditional support for NATO’s actions.

Marcus Papadopoulos also commented the promise to repeal the ban on hunting. He pointed out that the Party promotes the interests of a minority on this issue, the hunting community, which donates millions of pounds to the Conservatives. In this regard, Marcus reminded that the ban on hunting is supported by 80 percent of the British population.

NATO: free access to public Russian web sites is a threat to the security of Ukraine

A representative of the Human Rights Watch describes the actions of the Ukrainian President as “an inexcusable violation of Ukrainians’ right to information of their choice”.

“This is yet another example of the ease with which President Poroshenko unjustifiably tries to control public discourse in Ukraine,” said Tanya Cooper, Ukraine researcher with Human Rights Watch. “Poroshenko may try to justify this latest step, but it is a cynical, politically expedient attack on the right to information affecting millions of Ukrainians, and their personal and professional lives.”

The human rights activist demanded that “Poroshenko should immediately reverse the ban“.

US invent Russian hackers to mask domestic political struggle

According to Zakharova, a certain fictional story exists, which was made up in the United States and has to do with their internal political struggle. She stated further that the United States is the most powerful state in the world. It is difficult to imagine even the slightest probability that Russia could intervene in the mighty campaign in such a country. She stressed that such an intervention was impossible, otherwise, the US would have to admit the total feebleness of their secret services.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also added that Russia and the United States have a joint mechanism to counter cyber threats, but Americans have never engaged that mechanism. This mechanism is supposed to work as follows. When the US gets information that a cyber attack has been made from the territory of the Russian Federation, the US notifies the Russians of the location where it happened. Russian secret services confirm the information and take specific measures to block the attack. Moscow may act correspondingly. However, according to Zakharova, this mechanism was not engaged even once.

Western countries use the term “Russian hackers” in order to accuse Russia of interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. According to representatives of the Democratic Party of the United States, it was exactly the “Russian hackers”, who ensured the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election on November 8, 2016.

Parents and their children who attend two Russian-speaking schools in Vilnius held a protest near the Mayor’s Office against the reorganization of national minority schools on May 16 as RIA Novosti reported.

The Pushkin School cannot achieve the status of a secondary school for two years, which means that it cannot cover first to twelfth grades. Currently, the education is limited to ten grades.

The representative of the school’s trade union, Irina Lukashevich, explained that the teachers are qualified to teach children up to the twelfth grade.

Representatives of the Starogorodskaya School in Vilnius are trying to stop authorities from closing school. The official pretext for closing the school was that classes are understaffed (there are just over 200 children who attend the school).
