American organizations are preparing an “color revolution” in Russia, stated the leader of the “Essence of Time” movement, Sergey Kurginyan, on 13 April during the TV-show “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on the Russia-1 TV-channel.

The participants discussed political processes in different countries, ongoing and past, organized from abroad. American journalist Greg Weiner cited a 1977 book KGB: The Secret Work of Soviet Secret Agents by John Barron illustrating the organization of coups in Latin America, anti-fascist movements, the revolution in Portugal, and the Sandinista movement by KGB. Sergey Kurginyan replied: “You see, no books of free researchers on the issue, unfortunately, can be definitive in their objectiveness for an understandable reason, which was mentioned here. But! The CIA and NATO intelligence agencies have opened their archives on the “Gladio” networks and everything else that before was attributed to us. I emphasize once again, the archives are now open, go there and read the documents!”

Sergey Kurginyan then commented on the developments in Russia: “Right now, it so happens that Freedom House is preparing a revolution here. It is quite obvious. And we know what organizations are involved. The scheme is identical. Freedom House has been the main American organization for preparing color revolutions since the 1940s. Then it all goes via a certain network of USAID, the Institute of Republican Studies, and so on. And now you’re telling me what happened in the Baltic states. We have given you the names of the CIA shooters (Eiva and others). And Mr. Butkevičius from the Department of Territorial Security later admitted this fact. Are you telling us that it was done in a bloodless manner? We are referencing leading journalists and archives. Mr. Brzezinski admitted that six months prior to our entry into Afghanistan they had started financing the mujaheddin. So you’re looking at a clear picture, painted by all of the US leaders, the heads of these agencies, who are proud of their work; you see all the evidence in the archives, but you are saying that all of this doesn’t exist, that KGB did it. I would have been proud if it was the KGB!”

One of the factors contributing to the secession of the Baltic republics from the USSR was the bloodshed during the 13 January 1991clash between military troops seeking to take the Vilnius TV Center and the crowd. Thirteen civilians and a soldier were killed. The military was blamed for the bloodshed. But later, the leader of the Department of Territorial Security Audrius Butkevičius said that the bloodshed was planned in advance to demonstrate atrocities by the central Soviet authorities. In 2012, Algirdas Paleckis, a Lithuanian politician, provided an excerpt from the victims’ forensic reports, certifying that on 13 January 1991 they were shot from the top down, that is, from the roofs of the surrounding buildings, where there were no Soviet soldiers.
