Kurginyan: Freedom House is preparing a revolution in Russia

Sergey Kurginyan then commented on the developments in Russia: “Right now, it so happens that Freedom House is preparing a revolution here. It is quite obvious. And we know what organizations are involved. The scheme is identical. Freedom House has been the main American organization for preparing color revolutions since the 1940s. Then it all goes via a certain network of USAID , the Institute of Republican Studies, and so on. And now you’re telling me what happened in the Baltic states. We have given you the names of the CIA shooters (Eiva and others). And Mr. Butkevičius from the Department of Territorial Security later admitted this fact. Are you telling us that it was done in a bloodless manner? We are referencing leading journalists and archives. Mr. Brzezinski admitted that six months prior to our entry into Afghanistan they had started financing the mujaheddin. So you’re looking at a clear picture, painted by all of the US leaders, the heads of these agencies, who are proud of their work; you see all the evidence in the archives, but you are saying that all of this doesn’t exist, that KGB did it. I would have been proud if it was the KGB!”

Kurginyan: Real revolutions give a chance for development, "color revolutions” – never

According to Kurginyan, true people’s revolutions are led by a national intelligentsia. They strive to liberate their countries from economic oppression, to give impetus to development, and to eliminate social stratification based on wealth. Contrary to this, pseudo-revolutions strengthen economic oppression; they generate chaos and destruction; they lead to the people becoming impoverished and to the rich getting richer. A so-called “color revolution” aims to keep a country in the neocolonial orbit of transnational corporations, while true revolutions fight for national independence.
When confronted with an objection that transnational corporations are subject to political power, and that they do not exercise control over it, Kurginyan pointed to a formidable instrument of global economic power: the U.S. Federal Reserve System.

Earlier, international media had propagated information regarding a chemical attack conducted by the Syrian Air Force against civilian inhabitants of the Idlib suburb Khan-Sheikhun on 4th of April. The US blamed the attack on the Syrian government. Later, on the night of April 7th, US Navy ships launched a cruise missile strike against Shayrat Air Base in the Homs province with neither Congressional approval, nor a UN resolution. Syrian military personnel were killed, and airbase infrastructure was destroyed as a result of the missile strike.
