The Ukrainian army continues shelling. A large number of “Grad” and “Uragan” multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) was uncovered in the area of Prokhorovka.
On the Gorlovka direction, the Ukrainian army shelled the villages of Zaytsevo and Shirokaya Balka, the northern and south-western suburbs of Gorlovka.
On the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian military shelled Yasinovataya, the northern suburbs of Donetsk, the village of Spartak, the area of former Donetsk airport, and the village of Trudovskiye in the west of the capital.
On the Mariupol direction, the village of Kominternovo was shelled. As a result of the shelling, 6 houses and shop were damaged. The villages, where 140 residents are living at the moment, has been left without electricity. Power supply is being restored.
According to Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) Command, 3 servicemen of DPR army were killed, and one was wounded during the day.
DPR PM intelligence uncovered the location of a battery of “Grad” MLRS and a battery of “Uragan” MLRS in the area of Prokhorovka. The units of 59th Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade and 30th Independent Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army arrived in the area of Avdeevka. According to the intelligence, Ukrainian Command is planning provocations involving battalion task force of the 25th Independent Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian army. Ukrainian military will be ordered to shell the towns and villages, controlled by Kiev, in order to accuse DPR PM in this shelling.
According to updated information, during the past day, February 8th, the Ukrainian army shelled the front-line DPR territory 711 times. Ukrainian military, in violation of the Minsk Agreements, fired 17 152mm and 122mm artillery shells, 163 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds. Infantry fighting vehicles, mortars, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, and small arms were used.
