The Ukrainian army has intensified the activity of its sabotage groups at the territory of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and does not decrease the intensity of the shelling.
In the morning, a Hero of the DPR, battalion commander Givi was assassinated as a result of sabotage. The explosion occurred in the headquarter of the “Somali” Guards Assualt battalion. Killers presumably used “Shmel” man-portable rocket launcher. According to the official version, the operation was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine. Emergency Intercept Protocol declared in DPR. A three-day period of mourning was announced in the Republic.
On the Gorlovka direction, the Ukrainian army shelled the northern and north-western suburbs of Gorlovka, as well as the villages of Zaytsevo and Golmovsky.
On the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian military is shelling the northern and western districts of the city. The village of Krutaya Balka, the area of former Donetsk Airport, and Avdeevka industrial zone has come under the artillery fire. The Ukrainian army is using the heavy artillery, mortars, and small arms. A private house was destroyed in the village of Krutaya Balka.
The situation remains tense on the Mariupol direction. The Ukrainian army shelled the villages of Sakhanka and Bezimennoye.
DPR People’s Militia (DPR PM) intelligence uncovered the location of a platoon of “Grad” multiple launch rocket systems in the area of Zamozhnoye. There is also information that the units of 36th Independent Marines brigade of the Ukrainian army have been redeployed in the area of Kominternovo.
According to DPR PM Command, the Ukrainian army started to place mines in the territory of Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant controlled by Kiev junta. In a case of explosion, the whole region would face a large-scale environmental disaster.
According to updated information, during the past day, February 7th, the Ukrainian army shelled the front-line DPR territory 775 times. Ukrainian military, in violation of the Minsk Agreements, fired 6 152mm and 122mm artillery shells, 195 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds. Infantry fighting vehicles, mortars, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, and small arms were used.
