14.12.2016, Donbass.

A commission of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC, Ukrainian: SNBO) with its head, Secretary Aleksandr Turchinov, arrived to the zone of so-called “Anti-Terrorist Operation” (which is commonly known as a Kiev junta’s punitive operation – Editor) in Lugansk region (part of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) occupied by the Ukrainian army – Editor). The commission is to find out the reasons of the deterioration of the morale of Ukrainian servicemen, a spokesperson of LPR People’s Militia Major Andrey Marochko informed during a briefing in Lugansk Information Centre. Among the reasons for this visit Marochko also mentioned the increase in crimes, drinking and drug consumption, which became even more common among the Ukrainian servicemen, as well as an increase in the number of suicides and desertions among the personnel on Lugansk direction.

The Major earlier informed that a Ukrainian serviceman committed suicide at the observation post in Bolotennoye village of Stanichno-Lugansky district. He also stressed previously that the commanders of the Ukrainian units are concealing facts of desertion and increase of non-combat casualties among the personnel of the Ukrainian army in the zone of Kiev’s punitive operation from their superior officers.

The Head of People’s Militia Administration Colonel Oleg Anashenko stated that the morale of Kiev junta’s military is deteriorating, they continue to loot and have armed disputes in the state of intoxication. Moreover, the incidents of hazing have increased, resulting in desertion and suicides among Kiev junta’s soldiers.

Ukrainian media confirmed the increase in the number of non-combat casualties among the Kiev junta’s serviceman due to hard drinking.
