DPR Operational Command urged OSCE to force Kiev’s army to stop shelling residential areas

Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Operational Command urged OSCE and international organizations to exert pressure on the Ukrainian authorities to stop the uncontrolled shellings of the residential areas by the Ukrainian army. DPR Deputy Operations Commander Eduard Basurin made this statement in the press centre of Donetsk News Agency.

We urge OSCE and international human rights organizations to exert pressure on Ukrainian authorities in order to stop the extermination of the civilian population of Donbass by the bloody Ukrainian military,” Eduard Basurin said.

The Deputy Operations Commander noted that otherwise, the militia of the Republic has the right “to respond adequately to these crimes of the Ukrainian army.

In recent days, the intensity of the shellings by the Ukrainian army has increased significantly. Every day, the number of victims and injured due the actions of the Ukrainian military is increasing among the DPR population. On August 9th, the Ukrainian army once again shelled the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. Two civilians were killed. Last night, one civilian was injured in the shelling of the western outskirts of the capital.

During the press conference, Eduard Basurin has shown fragments of the projectile of an anti-tank gun, which are used by the Ukrainian military to shell villages and towns.

During the past day, Kiev junta’s punitive forces fired over 700 shells at the front-line territories of DPR. A number of villages and towns were shelled, six houses were damaged, some streets were left without electricity.
