2 children killed by electric shock from power lines damaged by Ukrainian shelling

Two children, six- and seven-year old, died by stepping on power lines. The lines were damaged as a result of shelling of Kominternovo village in Novoazovsk region in southern Donetsk People’s Republic by Ukrainian military, Donetsk News Agency reports today citing the head of region Oleg Morgun. One of the children was playing football and stepped on the naked lines.

He also confirmed that a house in Kominternovo was damaged by Ukranian army shelling. According to Morgun, the building suffered a direct hit by an 82mm mortar shell.

A source in DPR Defense Ministry informed Donetsk News Agency that the representatives of the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination together with the representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission are inspecting the site.

This night Ukrainian army also shelled Gorlovka and the area around it, two civilians were injured and several houses were damaged. In addition the enemy shelled Yasinovataya and the area around it, the northern and western Donetsk outskirts, Sakhanka and Leninskoye villages in south of DPR.
