DPR Deputy Operations Commander informed about the death of a DPR militiaman

One of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) militiamen was killed by mortar shelling of Gorlovka outskirts, according to the official representative of the DPR Defense Ministry Eduard Basurin, TASS news agency informed on June 5th, 2016.

According to Eduard Basurin, Ukrainian militants shelled the northern suburbs of Gorlovka by mortars, killing one DPR militiaman and injuring another. Four houses were also partly destroyed. According to the DPR Operations Command, Ukrainian punitive forces fired 485 shells at DPR territory over the past day. Zaytsevo, Sakhanka villages, Dokuchaevsk, Yasinovataya towns as well as the outskirts of Donetsk were shelled. A total of 223 120mm mortar shells and 236 82mm mortar shells were fired by the Ukrainian military.

On April 29th, 2016, in Minsk, the Contact Group on Ukraine reached an agreement on the new “ceasefire” starting from April 30th, 2016.
