From 15:20 to 17:00 of May 8th, the Ukrainian military had shelled the area of former Donetsk airport and Spartak village in the northern suburb of Donetsk, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic Defense Ministry informed Donetsk News Agency.
According to the source, the Ukrainian army shelled from the positions near Opytnoe township.
The source added that the shelling was conducted using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms. A total of about 20 mortar shells were fired.
According to the DPR Defense Ministry, during the day, the Ukrainian military fired 63 shells at the front-line territories of DPR, one soldier of DPR Armed Forces was killed.
