In case Kiev doesn’t pay the $3 billion of sovereign debt before December 21, 2015, according to international financial standards Ukraine will default, said Dmitry Peskov, the press spokesman for Vladimir Putin.
“Our vis-à-vis, unfortunately, have not agreed to Russia’s proposals to restructure the state debt of Ukraine publicly stated by Vladimir Putin back in Antalya. Russia does not have any other proposals. According to all the rules of finance and international relations, in the event of non-payment of the debt on time comes the default,” stated Peskov in this regard.
