The Ukrainian militaries violated the ceasefire three times over the day on the contact line in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a DPR representative at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire (JCCCC) informed on October 14.
The representative said that on October 13 at 10.20 a.m. (Moscow time zone), the Ukrainian troops of the 23rd Battalion of the 56th Ukrainian army’s Brigade opened fire from their position in the village of Peski on Zhabunki, a suburb of Donetsk. The military fired 15 AGS-17 grenades.
The observers registered that the fire was opened on Mineralnoye village, a large-caliber machine was used. The Ukrainian troops of the 36th Ukrainian Navy Brigade opened fire on Dzerzhinskoye village firing two AGS-17 grenades, and the small arms were also used.
On October 13-14, a video conference of subgroups in the Trilateral Contact Group will be held. The main obstacle for continuation of work is unwillingness of Ukrainian party to observe political part of Minsk agreements and constant prolongation of negotiations.
On July 15, the members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a resolution on local elections in which they directly pointed to the prohibition of holding elections on the territory of the republics until the moment when Ukrainian border guards will take the border with Russia under their control.
The conditions directly contradict the terms of the peace agreements, which initially indicated the granting of a special status to the republics of Donbass and its consolidation in the Constitution of Ukraine. Then, to hold elections and form bodies of power in the republics, and only after that will the transfer of control over the border take place.
In his interview on October 3, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the refusal to fulfill Minsk agreements and stated that peace in Donbass would come only under conditions of Ukraine.
Also, representatives of Russia and republics of Donbas accused the members of Ukrainian delegation of distortion of decisions made at the session of Trilateral Contact Group, offered to publish records of sessions, Ukrainian delegation refused to publish videos of the session of group.
