Militants in Syria attack a Russian-Turkish patrol

Three Russian soldiers were injured by an explosion of an improvised explosive device while patrolling the areas in Syria, the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) informed on July 14.

The incident took place occurred during a joint patrol with soldiers from Turkey. Terrorists blew up a landmine while the patrol was moving along the M4 highway in the Idlib province.

“Three Russian soldiers received light injuries. There are wounded among the crew of a Turkish armored car. All injured soldiers were promptly evacuated from the area. Russian servicemen were taken to Khmeimim air base, where they were provided with all necessary medical care. There is no threat to their lives,” the message reads.

Rossa Primavera News Agency informed that the militants started shootout at As-Saga market in the center of Idlib. As a result, one person was killed, and several others were injured.
