Military activities of NATO forces near the Russian and Belorussian borders viewed as provocative, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on June 19 at the news briefing in Minsk.
Lavrov met with Belorussian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. According to Russian Foreign Minister, politicians discussed NATO activities in Poland and the Baltic states during their conversation.
“Frankly speaking, such NATO’s actions are provocative and lead to further fragmentation of the European security landscape,” said Lavrov.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that he plans to cut the number of US troops in Germany by half. In the meantime, Polish PM’s Office head Michal Dworczyk expressed his hope that Trump would transfer some of the troops to Poland.
