Russia provided humanitarian aid to almost 4,000 Syrians during the past day

Russia provided humanitarian aid to 3,800 Syrians on February 26th, as is stated in the Humanitarian bulletin of the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides issued on February 27th.

During the past day, the people of the Syrian Arab Republic received 6.2 tons of humanitarian aid including bread, sets with food products, and hot meals. The residents of Aleppo, Halidiyah, and Dahiyat al-Asad received food product.

“In the Aleppo city, citizens have received 3,000 portions of hot meals and 1 ton of bread in the areas of Karm al-Bek, Old Aleppo and Sheikh Maqsood as well as in school in the areas of Muhammad Beik, Jamait Tyshrin, and Halidiyah”, the Humanitarian bulletin of the Russian Centre reads. “Citizens of Dahiyat al-Asad in the Damascus province have received 500 sets with food products. Another 300 sets with food products have been delivered to citizens of Hamidiyah in the Latakia province.

The Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides stressed that the UN also provided food aid, medical and psychological support, and legal assistance to the people of Syria. Infrastructure of the Republic is being restored, the people who lost their homes are being provided with temporary accommodation.

The Russian Federation regularly delivers humanitarian aid to Syria, thus, promoting the restoration of the peaceful life in the country after the reached truce between the opposing parties has come into force.
