Over 60 thousand DPR residents march against arming the OSCE mission in Donbass

Residents of cities and regions of Donetsk People’s Republic marched on central Artyoma street of Donetsk as a sign of protest against the plans of bringing an armed OSCE mission to Donbass. According to the estimate of Donetsk News Agency correspondent, the number of participants exceeds 60 thousand people.

The column marched from the library named after N. K. Krupskaya to the central Lenin square, where the rally will start shortly. The protesters carry posters on different languages, including English, French and German, urging the global community to prevent the introduction of an armed OSCE mission. Among the signs on the posters “No armed OSCE mission”, “We will not allow an armed OSCE mission in Donbass.”

Currently the protesters have gathered on Lenin square, where the leaders of the Republic will speak. Tents are established on the place of the rally, in which the residents will be able to sign the petition to UN Security Council against Kiev’s violation of Minsk-2 Agreements.

The situation is calm, the security of residents is being secured by police, Ministry of Emergency Situations, ambulances are also present to provide medical assistance if necessary.
