Ukrainian war correspondents refuse to fabricate reports about shelling of Ukrainian army

Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) faced the reluctance of Ukrainian war correspondents to work in Donbass. Foreign journalists are engaged to work in the conflict zone, Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin informed during his briefing in the press center of Donetsk News Agency on May 22nd.

We obtained the documents revealing that war correspondents of Ukrainian mass media do not want to go to the contact line of the armies to prepare fabricated photo and video reports. We are going through these documents and shall soon present them to the public,’ Eduard Basurin said.

He added that for SBU it is ‘easier to pay the foreign journalists.

Earlier DPR Operational Command Head Denis Sinenkov informed that intelligence obtained a document, signed by Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine for European Integration, marked as ‘urgent,’ instructing Ukrainian army command to ensure working environment for five foreign journalists near occupied Avdeevka town from May 16th to May 22nd.
