DPR authorities to reopen a school in a recent ghost-village of Styla

A school in front-line village of Styla, Starobeshevsky region of DPR, which was closed due to safety concerns, will reopen next week, according to region administration head Ivan Mikhaylov.

The Ministry of Educations and Science of DPR has made a decision to reopen the school in Styla village during a teleconference. The classes will start on Monday, September 7.

A total of 63 children will study at the school, but this number will increase as the residents return to the village.

Earlier the region administration said that the school in Styla village will not open due to safety concerns, despite being fully prepared for the start of the school year. According to DPR Ministry of Defense bulletins, Styla was shelled at least 12 times during the summer. The authorities have said that after all residents left it, Styla turned into a ghost-village. However, as the situation stabilized, the residents started returning to front-line villages.
