The Western elite today, promoting the idea of domination, is trying to rely on the ancient history, although the understanding of this history reveals a very old irreconcilable conflict inside the West, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on October 10 on the Right to Know program on TVC.
The host of the TV show Dmitry Kulikov indicated that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio actually calls for a war to maintain the West’s greatness while claiming to be a potential leader of this movement. In this context, he asked Sergey Kurginyan a question what and who stand behind this and what the chances for their success are.
In response, the political scientist noted that in the issue of the West’s attempts to maintain its domination both the philosophic and the political aspects are important, and he stressed that “this is quite an old story.” Kurginyan explained that this issue was investigated by many people including such an outstanding person as British historian, philosopher, social scientist and politician Arnold Toynbee. He also mentioned the Kagan family, in particular American historian Donald Kagan with his four-volume work on the Peloponnesian War and American neoconservative Robert Kagan, the husband of US diplomat Victoria Nuland.
At the same time, the leader of Essence of Time stressed that Rubio has a speechwriter Hochman who is deeply immersed in this issue, and Rubio himself is quite strongly connected with the neoconservative American Enterprise Institute, which has also strong connections with the Kogan family.
“Thus, Rubio is actually a neocon. And the neocons are the worst for us. And there is plenty of all this,” the political scientist said.
However, Kurginyan indicated that Rubio comes from a very poor family, and he was closely patronized by “a billionaire who was the official leader of all the structures of the Jewish Congress etc.” Also, this billionaire is a collector; in particular, he collects Hitler’s items.
According to Kurginyan, Rubio is preparing to become president, which becomes clear from, among other things, his “Acropolis speech” of October 7 (the speech Rubio gave on October 7 in front of the Acropolis, in which he addressed to the ancient history and urged to maintain the Western domination).
“At the same time, Kevin Roberts (the president of the Heritage Foundation – Rossa Primavera News Agency) one day earlier speaks in Jerusalem saying, ‘Jerusalem, Athens!’ and again it is about their merging. So this is quite a serious initiative,” the leader of Essence of Time said.
Sergey Kurginyan explained that the idea of domination that is being developed in the West seeks to rely on the ancient history. However, according to him, “they desperately want to adapt this Antiquity to blatant ideological objectives by denying what cannot be denied.”
Developing this idea, the political scientist indicated that the Antiquity was not uniform; in particular, there was a conflict between Rome and Greece, which questions the unity of the Western civilization. He stressed that Aeneas, the main character of the Aeneid, a fundamental composition of the Antiquity, who is believed to be the legendary ancestor of those who founded Rome, fled from Troy. He also reminded that when Roman legionaries seized Greek cities in the beginning of the 2nd century they posted signs saying “Revenge for Troy,” i.e. they believed they were descendants of the Trojans.
“Therefore, Roman, and archaic, and later Octavian, and even later Antiquity is the Trojans, Aeneas. But if they are Trojans, then they are anti-Achaeans. What can Parthenon etc. have to do with it? This is an irreconcilable conflict between Rome and Greece. Yes, they have duplicated gods and some compositions. But this is really an irreconcilable conflict between Hellenism of Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire,” the political scientist said.
