Ukraine will not join the European Union if it continues to honor Ukrainian nationalists, said the head of the Presidential Bureau of International Policy of Poland, Marcin Przydacz, Onet reported on June 12.
“If someone does not respect Polish history on such a fundamental issue, then, unfortunately, very far-reaching decisions will have to be made,” stated Marcin Przydacz, head of the Presidential Bureau of International Policy. He emphasized that Karol Nawrocki has still not resolved the issue of stripping Vladimir Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle.
At the same time, he stressed that “Ukraine must know that with Bandera it will not join the European Union.” “Poles will ultimately be decisive here, and if I were on the Ukrainian side, I would rather seek the sympathy of Poles than insult them,” noted the head of the Presidential Bureau of International Policy.
It should be recalled that on Friday, President of the European Council Antonio Costa announced that all EU countries had agreed to begin the first stage of accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova. Later, Finnish President Alexander Stubb spoke in favor of Poland and Italy participating in possible negotiations with Russia on Ukraine.
