Healthy forces in America supported Donald Trump because they saw in him something humane among the surrounding scum, but Trump, having got to power, began to behave eccentrically and thus frightened everyone, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on November 28 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.
According to the political scientist, Trump became a figure that was “thrown up from this American swamp by right passions of the white farmers’ America and adjacent groups.” He indicated that the forces that supported Trump are sick of the leftists, they are “sick of these perversions, sick of this endless self-humiliation, of the desire to ruin their own civilization, of the endless revisions of history when memorials are dismantled here and there…”
Sergey Kurginyan pointed out the degeneration of the political figures today, including left-wing ones.
“It would be ridiculous to call them communist. And these communists are disgusting, because they are something grown up in some labs and special flasks of the CIA and associated agencies, something ambiguous and ugly,” he said.
As an example of a personality that existed before and cannot be found now he referred to Frenchwoman Francine Fromond, a member of the French Resistance during World War Two. Fromond was first moved from the USSR to England, and then she was parachuted into France to command the underground activities. After she and her mother were arrested she resisted fiercely breaking fingers of the one who seized her. She had to see her mother tortured, and after her mother died she was tortured, too.
“There were thrilling stories of incredibly brilliant, vivid, noble people. And now there is some scum,” the leader of Essence of Time said, and he explained that Trump is a product of the disgust that the healthiest part of America feels towards this scum.
Kurginyan noted that the US is a very religious country and that it has certain dignity. According to him, in spite of the fact that America is a great threat to Russia, it still bears something humane.
“And all this humane, watching something absolutely inhumane, said, ‘Look at him, he has something humane.’ In Trump, America attempted to find something humane, and its will, against all the circumstances, pushed him up to the surface from the swamp. He grew up, and he became impudent. Everyone got frightened. This is a well-known phenomenon,” the political scientist explained.
