US President Donald Trump came to power amid the complete degradation of two strategic forces: democratic and communist, political scientist, philosopher, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on November 28 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
As the political scientist noted, the USA under Franklin D. Roosevelt still retained a certain democratic version of American ideology, compatible with morality and humanity’s aspiration toward achievement. And leading figures of the Communist International attempted to find a common ground with USA under Franklin D. Roosevelt on the basis of a new humanism, the expert said.
“All of that has collapsed. Today’s Democrats are very bad people, if they can even be called people. They embody something very degenerate, post-human, post-anthropoid,” said the leader of Essence of Time movement.
Today, anyone may be labeled as a socialist or communist, he noted. They could be perverts, proponents of perversion, apologists for radical Islam, and so on.
“There has been a degradation in two fundamental two fundamental — historical, political, and existential, fate-defining, strategic forces,” the political scientist noted, clarifying that he was referring to the former Western democratic culture and the communist forces, which was in some ways born out of this democratic culture and positioned itself as the heir to the French Revolution.
Now, as Sergey Kurginyan emphasized, all of this does not exist. According to him, on the one hand, “what remains is a sort of amorphous repulsive substance that unjustly calls itself ‘the left’, which is so revolting that you don’t want to come near it.” On the other hand, a rather strange conservatism has emerged, unlike the previous conservatism, which nevertheless believed in history, progress, and the future of humanity.
“And, out of this strangeness – Trump has emerged, and, I emphasize that it is linked to American people’s best aspirations for humanity in some of its classical form, strongly connected to America’s specific but very intense religiosity, which greatly distinguishes it from Europe,” explained the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
By using metaphorical language, Trump broke through, to the horror of the establishment, from a “strange, swampy bubbling landscape” as “something odd and mossy, funny and ecstatic,” the political scientist added.
“And what we have now is this strange creature, not without a sense of humor, with its own ideas about what is good, with endless arrogance and attempts to revolt, narcissistic, rushing from one extreme to another, but also good at pretending: now I’ll do something so scary that you’ll be completely stunned…“, Kurginyan clarified.
