Israel wants to provoke a direct conflict between the United States and Iran, Russia’s UN envoy Vasily Nebenzya said at the General Assembly meeting on October 2.
“It is hard to say whether Washington realizes this,” Nebenzya noted. He pointed out that at the moment the “play” is being played out exactly as Israel wants it to be.
The Russian diplomat also emphasized that if Israel continues to implement its plans, the conflict could reach an “unimaginable level of escalation,” threatening not only the Middle East, but the entire world.
