The number of displaced persons is increasing due to Israeli strikes on civilian areas, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated at a press conference in Beirut on September 29.
Mikati expressed the government’s concern over the growing number of internally displaced persons as a result of Israel’s attacks.
“The number of refugees from the southern regions could reach half a million people,” the Prime Minister said. He emphasized that the Lebanese authorities are doing everything possible to provide shelter for these people.
