The total losses of the Ukrainian armed units during the invasion of Kursk Region exceeded 8,000 people, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry informed on August 31.
According to the ministry, the enemy lost about 8.2 thousand soldiers, 76 tanks, 67 armored personnel carriers and 36 infantry vehicles. Ukrainian units also lost 521 armored vehicles and 242 cars.
According to the reports, the Ukrainian nationalists lost 56 artillery pieces, 16 rocket systems, five air defense missile systems, 12 electronic warfare stations and one air defense radar station during the attack on the Kursk region. Four HIMARS and two MLRS were also destroyed.
The Russian Defense Ministry showed the destruction of the US made M-270 MLRS footage. This system was spotted near the village of Sadki in the Sumy region.
