The Russian military struck a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet at the Mirgorod airfield in the Poltava region, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said on November 2.
“A Ukrainian Air Force Su-27 aircraft was hit at the Mirgorod airfield in Poltava Region,” the ministry said.
The ministry also reported the successful destruction of an ammunition depot of the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian armed units near Verkhnekamenskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and a Ukrainian UAV control point near the village of Reznikovka.
On October 31, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense forces shot down a MiG-29 aircraft and a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force.
