The West grossly miscalculated by underestimating Russia in the conflict in Ukraine, analyst Lars Bern said on SwebbTV on October 3.
“What led to this defeat of NATO and the West was a fundamentally wrong assessment of Russia. We completely underestimated it. Our officials – both politicians and military – have shown themselves to be bloody talentless,” the expert said.
He noted that they wanted to break Russia by winning the conflict with Ukraine. Therefore, they tried to influence Russia with the help of sanctions. He emphasized that Western countries had done more harm to themselves than to Russia.
He said that Western countries supplied weapons to Ukraine, but most of them were destroyed by the Russian military. They also damaged most of the Patriot systems supplied by the US to Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the restrictions imposed on Russia had hit the global economy and worsened the lives of many people.
