Kurginyan: You can’t measure everything just by arms shipments, you need to look at the result

The course of the military special operation in Ukraine should be assessed by the results achieved by the Russian and Ukrainian sides, and not by the shipments of weapons to Ukraine, as the Americans do, said political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time Sergey Kurginyan movement on April 27 on The Great Game program on Channel One.

“I would like to ask the Americans: why do they measure everything not by results, but by some mythical shipments?” Kurginyan asked.

The political scientist explained that in the assessment of a military operation one does not say “I delivered so many grenade launchers”, but rather “so many tanks were destroyed.”

Kurginyan noted that in the logic of the Americans it turns out that: “the US provided Ukrainians with grenade launchers, so Russian tanks were stopped, or Kiev received MANPADs, so there are no Russian airstrikes.”

However, such logic looks very strange against the background of available information about the course of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, according to which the Russian Army has been gradually advancing, inexorably pushing back and destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“How is it possible, given the available information and seeing how the Ukrainian Army has been monotonously destroyed, to mumble such things,” the political scientist stressed.

On April 26, US State Secretary Antony Blinken announced that the United States would supply the Ukrainian Army with all the necessary equipment.

“For every tank that the Russians have had in Ukraine, we’ve managed with 30 allies and partners, in one way or another, to provide about 10 anti-armor systems. For every plane that the Russians have flown in the skies, there have been about 10 anti-aircraft munitions of one kind or another,” Blinken said.
