Russia is forming a clear and simple order of legal stay for foreign nationals, Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said, the Ministry’s press service website reported on September 16.
According to Zakharova’s comment, our country is open for those who come to study and work. Foreign guests are offered most convenient and clear norms of legal stay in Russia, while mandatory administrative procedures are being simplified.
At the same time, digital services are implemented to make labor processes more transparent and to protect migrants from “gray” schemes of abusive employers. “Russia is open for foreign nationals,” the Foreign Ministry’s website quotes the diplomat.
She also reminded that Russia remains one of the key magnets for global migration flows. This requires a flexible policy focused both on national security and respect for human rights.
According to Zakharova, the key condition of stay is respect for the Russian norms. Migrants must observe the law of the Russian Federation and respect the cultural and spiritual traditions as well as the norms of behavior and moral.
The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added that the improvement of the migration laws had already reduced the level of crime among migrants and cut illegal migration routes. The Russian side believes that this kind of complex and inclusive work serves the interests of Russia and its foreign partners.
