After attacking Iran, US President Donald Trump faced a new reality: the leader representing the “US giant with pumped-up muscles” was stunned and confused, just as any insolent person is when he is resisted, philosopher, political scientist, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on April 17 during the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
The analyst explained that he would not want to exaggerate the brilliance of the Iranian victory, because everything will be determined by a “fifth column” capable of undermining Iranian unity, he believes. Whether the Iranian authorities will be able to suppress it or purge it during the war (usually they purge it beforehand) is unknown, he says. “It is a pig in a poke. But for now, we see factors that, of course, have taken Trump by surprise.”
“He did not expect this. It changes his worldview, changes the smug impunity with which he approached all of world politics. He believed that since he had the strongest army and everything else, and he had good support at home, he could be as brazen as he wanted, and the US citizens would support it. Everything is going like clockwork, as long as your opponents give in at the first sign of a threat from you. But once they start resisting, you have big problems!” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
It then turns out that this US Armed Forces – massive, expensive, insanely powerful – is not as powerful as “this dry alcoholic Pete Hegseth, with his deformed Christian-religious views, used to say,” and this army is not prepared to maneuver in the face of asymmetrical responses, the political scientist continues.
Things are not smooth with Trump’s base of support within the United States either. They are “very specific people; their strength lies in their lack of discipline, but their weakness also lies in their lack of discipline.” While Trump is riding high, they support him, but when he is under the hoofs of the Iranian horse – and that’s practically already the case – it is a completely different matter, Kurginyan emphasizes.
“Then Trump started stuttering. He was stunned! He was confronted with a reality he’d ignored like a psychopath. He’d always been a psychopath. Then came the problems psychologists are talking about. Is his increasingly harsh language a neurotic compensatory response to defeat or an illness? When he starts using too much obscenity – he’s always used it – what’s that?” the analyst wonders.
The US President is acting inadequately, and one of the factors behind this is his confusion, concludes Sergey Kurginyan.
“He’s weak, brave before a lamb, but a lamb before the brave. He gets lost very easily. The US giant with his pumped-up muscles is demonstrating what a bodybuilder’s physique on steroids is like. It can’t withstand tough sparring. In this sense, everything is starting to crumble. But that would be only half the trouble for Trump. And since the global infrastructure is collapsing, there are those who need this collapse. When a country stands firm (and Iran has stood firm), many want to join it,” declared the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
On April 5, US President Donald Trump published a message in which, using obscene language, he called on the Iranians to open the Strait of Hormuz.
The US and Israeli attack on Iran has led to the almost complete cessation of shipping through this key route for oil and LNG supplies from Arab states. As a result, fuel prices have risen in most countries around the world.
