Kurginyan: China is intensively preparing for war

21.04.2026, Moscow.

Judging by the pace of development in various military sectors, China is intensively preparing for war, political scientist, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 3 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.

According to the political scientist, China is not only developing new missile systems and aircraft carriers but also preparing warehouses, food, and energy reserves, which indicates preparation for a long-term conflict. Moreover, it is doing this demonstratively and impressively, so that it can be shown to the population.

“I have said this and will repeat it – China is preparing for war seriously. It would not do this without reason,” Sergey Kurginyan believes.

At the same time, Essence of Time‘s leader noted that, apparently, the preparation is specifically for a prolonged non-nuclear conflict. Furthermore, such a mindset is characteristic not only of the Chinese leadership, and this raises certain questions.

In the philosopher’s opinion, within all modern political and military conflicts, threats by leaders of various countries to kill each other, pipeline shutdowns and destruction, violations of logistical imperatives, direct killings of leaders, and so on—within all of this, another new reality is maturing.

“From these molecules, chains, genomes, and configurations are formed. And these configurations are rapidly growing. In my opinion, one must look closely at these molecules, including pedophilic conflicts or heritage of Austria-Hungary and the Habsburgs. But in parallel one also must see continuous bonding and buildup of these molecules, which, in the conditions of unprecedent destruction of a very imperfect world order, create chaos in its place, which will end with some reconfiguration,” Sergey Kurginyan said.

The political scientist expressed hope that such a reconfiguration will occur in the most peaceful way possible, but emphasized that Ukraine’s utterly gangster-like behavior leaves little chance for such a development.

“It will light some fuse in Hungary, and Hungary will light another fuse, and nearby there will be Slovak-Czech affairs, and nearby the Baltic States, and all this will start exploding like that when these large dominoes, consisting of micro-processes such as the Ukrainian-Hungarian one, are triggered,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
