Kurginyan indicates a change in military doctrine

NATO is preparing itself for a conventional war against Russia, although over many years a war between Russia and NATO was believed to be impossible as it would escalate to a nuclear war very quickly, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on October 31 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.

For the US, an alliance between Russia and Germany, two countries where one has a huge potential in resources and the other in technology, is something it cannot permit, because the US would lose against such an alliance.

According to Kurginyan, in 1991, when Russian top officials believed that Russia would soon become part of the EU, Executive Director of EastWest Institute John Mroz told him in a private conversation that the US would not hesitate to start a nuclear war to prevent Russia and Germany from making an alliance.

A war in Europe can guarantee that such an alliance will not take place. This war is supposed to weaken the European Union, which is an economic competitor to the US. As for Russia, it must be destroyed because the US plans to combat China either using the Russians as a proxy or on their territory.

Over the recent decades, however, the military doctrine was different: an idea prevailed that no conventional war between Russia and NATO was possible as it would escalate to a nuclear war very quickly. But it remains unclear why that doctrine was replaced with another one.

“Apparently, no one thinks seriously enough to what extent the doctrine of this war is new (or old, in fact). I really know that doctrine, I heard about it everywhere, at the Security Council and elsewhere. According to that doctrine, a nuclear war against NATO would begin after 20-30 minutes, it would be very quick and nuclear,” Kurginyan told.

At the same time, Western media keep saying that Russia plans to attack NATO not later than 2029, NATO member states raise their military budgets, military infrastructure is being built, and defense industry hastily increases its production. German Rheinmetall corporate group is building zero cycles of plants to produce artillery, tanks, shells, bullets. In other words, NATO is preparing itself for a major conventional war in Europe.

“Why are they building up budgets through making large conventional land armies? What kind of a secret agreement rules out the previous scenario, which was generally acknowledged, and promotes another scenario? This is a tricky question,” Kurginyan said.
