The speech of US President Donald Trump and the speech of Pentagon’s head, delivered at the Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia on September 30, indicate that the country is preparing for a major war, philosopher, political scientist, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on October 3 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
Kurginyan pointed to a strange idea expressed by some Russian officials, journalists, and aides: because Trump is a conservative and holds traditional views similar to Russia’s, he will not fight with Russia.
“Trump will fight. His speech to the generals, like the defense secretary’s speech, is an army preparing for a major war. It’s a typical militarist speech. It is sensible from the standpoint of the United States’ national interests. But the whole problem is, as I have said many times, that nobody ordered Trump to ‘Make Russia Great Again.’ He was ordered ‘Make America Great Again’ (Trump’s campaign slogan),” Kurginyan said.
According to Kurginyan, this is a false conviction. Democratic globalists with their policies of total lockdowns during the coronavirus epidemy, gay propaganda in schools, sex education, and encouragement of gender transition surgeries for minors are extremely repulsive. Against that background, conservatives and the right forces appear more humane because they reject such policies and adhere to Christian values. However, this will not prevent them from fighting Russia.
“For Russia, the question is not whether these forces are appealing or not. For Russia, the question is who will fight with it and who won’t. And why, in principle, can’t they fight Russia under the banner of the most rabid ultra-Protestant values or a fusion of evangelism and Catholicism? [Vice President JD] Vance is speaking about this now,” Kurginyan explained.
Kurginyan believes the US cannot avoid fighting China because that country challenges US’s global primacy. And the US will not cede first place. But before fighting China, the US must destroy Russia, since Russia is unlikely to agree to fight China in the interests of the United States.
“And when we observe the tattoos on the defense secretary’s body [Pete Hegseth], they are very telling. There’s ‘Crusader,’ ‘Christ the King.’ This is a certain very distinct manifestations of the ultra-Catholic milieu. They all recall the papal bull announcing crusades. These are very, very exotic, ecstatic, and capable of anything people,” Kurginyan said.
War Secretary Pete Hegseth in his speech to the generals said the US wants peace for its citizens, therefore it will prepare for war, not for defense. Moreover, preparations for war must be urgent because enemies are gathering and threats are growing.
Hegseth shows a certain interest in “crusaders.” On his body are a number of tattoos, including images of an AR-15 rifle, two crossed muskets, the Jerusalem cross, and the phrase Deus vult (“God wills it” — a medieval cry that sounded at the Council of Clermont in 1095 when Pope Urban II announced the First Crusade. The phrase became the battle cry of the crusaders).
