US President Donald Trump’s talk about EU having to invest more into weapons and defending itself resulted in the fact that Germany demanding nuclear weapons to protect Europe, political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on August 8 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
Europe is preparing for a large-scale land warfare with Russia. Against this backdrop, Trump is demanding that EU countries increase their spending on weapons to 5% of GDP, Sergey Kurginyan noted.
At the same time, the political scientist explained that NATO’s European member-states clearly see in such US demands Trump’s desire to relieve himself of the obligation to defend Europe and leave the Europeans to deal with the conflict with Russia themselves.
Sergey Kurginyan noted that the situation can be described as follows, “EU says: ‘So, Trump, are going to abandon us? Then you have to give us some sovereignty. But there will be no sovereignty in Germany without nuclear weapons. You must give us nuclear weapons, you must bring the Reich back inside this Mitteleuropa. And also look at what will happen with Japan – it also wants nuclear weapons. And look at Turkey through the Azerbaijani window. And look what will happen there. And at Transnistria with Romania, and at the Baltics, and to Northern Europe. And then, maybe, we will besiege the Russians so that there will be more of us and less of them.”
In this case, the situation around Russia will significantly deteriorate, and the current level of mobilization in the country will not be enough, the political scientist emphasized.
“And, this will no longer be what is happening now. The country will overextend its forces if it wants to keep a certain hedonistic course on achieving comfort and increased consumption and fighting a war at the same time. Such a country will not be able to continue fighting a war if it faces a certain variety of challenges. It will have to transform. And it is possible. But this cannot be accomplished in one day,” warned Sergey Kurginyan.
