Eurasia, which is widely discussed, can be of two types: either Russian or Turkish, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on July 25 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.
“Eurasia can only be either Russian or Turkish, and that’s it! It cannot be Armenian, Jewish, Persian. It can only be either Russian or Turkish, based solely on the principle of large human masses of both,” the political scientist explained.
A plan of a Russian Eurasia existed previously, Sergey Kurginyan reminded, “in a sense, the USSR was exactly a version of that.” He explained that even in the times of the Russian Empire, under monarchy, the Orthodox religion was above all the other ones, but the oath “was sworn at separate tables, including a Muslim one, as well as some shamanist ones etc.”
“Then some sort of equal rights appeared, a secular ideology, Committee for Religious Matters (preceded by the Synod). Thus, it was certain parity, ‘Unbreakable Union of freeborn Republics, Great Russia has welded forever to stand,’” the analyst reminded.
He stressed that the Turkish component in our country has always been huge, but if compared to the Russian one, it can be said, “The Turkish planet is huge, and it goes around the Russian sun, but this is a still planet, and that is the sun.”
“If after the collapse of this parity-based Eurasia, the Russian-Turkish as well as multi-cultural and multi-religious Eurasia, something else emerges, it can only happen when this Turkish factor begins to activate both from outside and from inside. And when it begins to activate, there will be no Russia anymore,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
He stressed that we must “maintain the Turkish-Russian dialogue and a feeling of internal fraternity.”
At the same time, Sergey Kurginyan indicated that we cannot be sure that such a friendly dialogue will last long. “There is absolutely no guarantee that we can maintain this fraternal dialogue because it can turn out that the other side does not want it,” the political scientist explained.
